Machining fluids used in the metal manufacturing applications will benefit from regular or periodic sampling, as like the blood in our bodies, much can be learned about the health of a system. One sample gives a snap-shot in time whereas regular sampling builds up a picture. This picture when interpreted properly can indicate even more about the health of a system by looking at its history.
There are a number of test suites for each fluid. There are a number of visual and physical tests applicable to each product group and indeed specialist tests for specific products.
